Now that's good stuff! Thanks Brian for finding that and putting it up.
It obviously begs the question, "What makes an artist". For me I've finally decided to ignore the whole issue. I'll let history decide whether I'm an artist or artistic. I'm not going to let any perception of what I am or am not be an encouragement or discouragement to create what's in me to create.
I think many people are like you and decide to ignore the issue, not only because it's confusing, but irrelevant. I've read other people's opinions about this same question for years now and found that it's nearly as big as the question, "Who is God?" It would be easier if it were objective.
An artist friend of mine says of the video, "I just love anything that pokes fun at those who take themselves too seriously, and there is no one more pokable than the Serious Artist."
